ANTM out, Girlicious In

This season of ANTM is decidedly boring. Somehow, Tyra devises some way to get more irritating every episode. It's funny I feel this way now b/c way back when I thought she was amazing (i was young, what can i say?). Anyhoo, today she decides to go on and on about Stacy-Ann's "Paulinaesque's" jaw that i think Polina got irritated.
As she lets them know that they are going to Rome, in her usual over the top, manic way she blows kisses and yells "ciao bella" (How does she accuse the girl's of overacting with a straight face?).
Second thing that bothered me about this episode - are we really supposed to believe that the producers did not know that Fatima did not have the right documents before the show started?? Her entire "story" has be about the fact that she was a refugee. Somehow, i think that might have rang some bells and whistles in a show that ALWAYS involves international travel.

Basically, this season I'm all about Girlicious.

Random

These days I've been thinking a lot about passion.
What excites me, what lights that fire in my veins and sometimes, who?
These days, Nigerians are going after what they want full force. From designers to businessmen/women, magazine and franchise owners to models and actresses - everyone seems to be chasing their dream.
While I study for the CPA.
It's crazy b'coz now is the time to do all these things. In the next 5 years a lot of people will be thinking about the optimal number of years to have between kids.

Moving on.

Lagos was fun. The music and entertainment industry seems to be taking off. D'banj especially is doing wonderful things and I predict that Wande Coal is going to be the next big thing. The kid has talent!

I was a bit surprised as to how unforgiving the style police in lagos has become. The people who have the misfortune to fall into the bad graces of the editors at this day style are shown no mercy whatsoever. But hey, I guess we are know for being blunt.

If anyone has any events they would like to promote - let me know. I think i want to have a page were people can look and see what events are happening in the international Nigerian community.

Welcome

Hey All
I've been thinking a lot over this past year and decided to start a forum where I can share and discuss some of these thoughts. As a Nigerian living in the United States, there are a lof of questions I have had to ask myself and I would love to hear what people think. I think as a people, we need to talk about some issues more than we currently
Basically, this blog is going to cover all the random thoughts that pass through my head, and since I love books and music, discuss anything interesting I come across.
This is definitely not exclusively catering to Nigerians, so get ready for some Top Model and general gossip as well.
More to come...
